In 2008, there was an estimated 166,400 new cases of cancer in Canada (Canadian Cancer Statistics 2008); I was one of them. My experience with cancer has shaped who I am and I was lucky to walk away.
My experiences in 2008 have inspired a lot of my writing and I am currently working on my first novel.
